Facilities

Our modern facilities will not only provide you with the comfort needed to get healthy as quickly as possible, but with our specialists on call, all your needs will always be in the very best of caring hands.

The hospital consists of 125 beds. We have 5 operating theatres, including a cardiac theatre and a cardiac catheterisation laboratory. Our 11-bed, fully equipped Intensive care unit makes provision for 6 intensive care bed, 5 high-care beds and 4 isolation cubicles. In addition, the latest monitoring systems have been installed in this unit.

We provide a 24-hour casualty service, with a doctor on call 24/7. Our 12-bed maternity unit and neonatal high care provides great quality services. We also have a 10-bed day ward for one-day procedures.

Our state of the art paediatric unit consists of 11 beds and is supported by 4 paediatricians. A brand new 22 bed medical unit, with an on-site physician.

The hospital has a 6-bed post-operative orthopaedic unit, for special care after major orthopaedic procedures

Midvaal Pharmacy

The Pharmacy can be found at the entrance of the hospital and is open to the public from 8 am until 8 pm.

Ai-Ai Kai Coffee Shop

The coffee shop is located at the entrance of the hospital. It serves a range of light meals and snacks. They can be contacted at 016 454 6033.

Cardiothoracic Surgery & Cardiology

Cardiothoracic Surgery is done in our advanced Cardio Theatre. The cardiac unit is manned on a 24-hour basis by full-time cardiologists and a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory

The Catheterisation Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment in line with current international standards. The lab offers interventional cardiology, i.e. coronary angiography and coronary stenting.

General Practice

We have a range of general practitioners on-site.

With an on-site physician, and a 22-bed Medical Unit, we provide everything you might need.

Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The Obstetrics Unit consists out of 12 beds, with qualified maternity staff, to ensure quality care. We also offer a broad spectrum of gynaecological procedures.

Orthopaedic Surgery

The Orthopaedic Unit offers patients the latest treatments available in Orthopaedic Surgery. This includes joint replacement and spinal disc surgery. This unit also consists of a 6-bed post-operative orthopaedic unit.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

We offer patients the latest in cosmetic surgical procedures. These range from liposuction and microsurgery, to breast augmentation and reduction, as well as face lifts, eyelid surgery and tummy tucks.
